Torisi Yurlyr (C) TrueRageXRT

Beating all odds Torisi was created by the union of a human father and Baelor mother. She is both yet neither. While her story is just begining her parents' have already ended.

Garasi Yurlyr was a great warrior, without a doubt the strongest in her tribe. Their camp had been discovered by the an army of undead. With no end of enemies in sight they were forced to leave. Garasi stood vanguard defending the retreat of her people, despite her strength the sheer numbers were overwhelming. She was having trouble staying alive let alone guarding her people as for every ten she defeated ten more slipped by. As they caught up to the rest of the Baelor some turned to fight them, remarkable in their own right the lady warriors could not stand against so many.

The ghouls had almost reached the children when a human knight intercepted them. Fighting with sword and magic he fought his way to Garasi, and stood with her. The two were able to stop any more from getting by until they were sure the tribe had gotten away. They tried to follow but were routed by another group that had flanked them. They battled their way out to where the Knight's stead could reach them. He jumped onto the horse and offered his hand to Garasi, she hesitated but in the face of endless undead she accepted it and he swung her behind him. She gripped his waist tightly as the knight heeled the horse in the ribs causing it to launch into a gallop. Breaking away they could see that her fleeing tribe had to close off the route to offset their pursuers.

Garasi learned that the Knight was investigating the source of the undead horde, but pledged to return her to her tribe first as without the horse the detour would take far too long. Garasi felt she could trust him and accepted. It took a week to arrive to the place her tribe should have been but there were signs they had to move further as more undead had already been there. Garasi looked sadly at the children who did not make it. Her tribe had suffered terrible losses and she wondered if it would recover, they would all die before they let the males get hurt so with him alive there would always be hope. Garasi wondered if things would be over before her fertile cycle arrived. She had won this year's tournament, the previous years she didn't feel she deserved it yet and had lost on purpose to one she felt did. She was twenty five now and felt she was ready and dominated the tournament. She knew her cycle was only a couple weeks so she hoped for things to be resolved quickly.

They tracked the tribes movement for days more, having to detour a couple more times. They came upon a village under attack by the undead during this and the Knight insisted they help. As they evacuated the villagers Knights from another order arrived to help. They learned that the horde was larger than they thought but the army and several knight orders, mercenaries and Sorcerers were battling it elsewhere. Garasi and the Knight returned to their journey, finally catching up the tribe was once again under attack. They joined assisting those in the most trouble.
Garasi was fatigued from the constant travel and fighting, a lapse in her guard let a dagger wielding skeleton too close. It was about to stab her when the Knight stepped in its path cutting it's skull away. However it's lung had connected piecing a break in his armor. The wound was small and he ignored it telling Garasi to flee with her Tribe while he held them. She did as he ordered, but when she looked back she saw he was weakening. She was indebted to him and would not let him fall alone, despite his protest she stayed and together they defeated the last of the attackers.

Garasi was relived until she saw the Knight fall, she rushed to him and saw he was ill. Removing his armor she could see the wound was poisoned, black veins branched form the wound as ooze leaked from it. He was delirious and with fever, she sat him up before looking for anything that could help. She cleaned the wound and removed as much of the rotten blood as she could. Her care stabilized him, his fever dropped and he was coherent. She slept at his side feeling oddly connected to the human.

When she woke in the morning she checked on him and made a meal. The poison had slowed but they both knew it was only a matter of time. She was feeling a heat in her body, she was confused at first but counted the time that had passed. Her cycle was beginning, she could already sense the musk from the Knight. At first she wanted to flee, but when she thought about the man a crazy thought came to her.

She conversed with the Knight, asking if he had any children. He said he didn't and was single, while she didn't grasped what single meant but she ignored it and asked if he wanted a child. The Knight said he did want a family but knew that it was impossible now. Garasi contemplated how she should propose her idea to him. She started by saying how she knew that there were lore that Baelor and Human have paired and a child while rare has happened before. The Knight didn't grasp her intention at first, but as she touched his thigh he understood. She said nothing but her eyes asked for her, the Knight inquired if she was sure. Garasi knew she was, pushing the thought of how her tribe might react out of her mind she felt her instincts start to take over.

They made love for three days before the poison took him. It was four more days before her senses returned and she could mourn. She burned his body in a funeral pyre, watching the flames she placed her hand over her belly armor. When he was but ashes that blew away in the wind she left and rejoined her Tribe. Her return was heralded but the others, the elder acknowledged a blood debt to her owed by the Tribe. Having missed being around during her cycle they made a special allotment for her to have him next year with whoever won the tourney since they would need to rebuild their numbers. Garasi said nothing but knew she would not need it, it was a while before it could no longer be hidden.

She was summoned by the elder and interrogated in the presence of all the tribe's shamen, these women mystics looked upon her solemnly. The elder was at first under the impression she merely ran out of time and she was at the mercy of her urges. She was understanding saying under the circumstances her pairing with the human could be overlooked and they would exorcise the unwanted abomination right away. Garasi was furious when they wanted to abort her child, and refuted it was an mistake. She claimed that she knew exactly what she was doing and chose him and wanted the child. The elder was shocked, accusing her of breaking the greatest taboo's of their people, and pointed out the child would be a monster with no place in the world, that not even the father would accept it. Garasi would not stand for it, she told the elder how the Knight died taking because he took attack that would have killed her. That not only her but without him the tribe would be lost, and that they owed it to him to let this child live, and if any attempted to cause it harm she would not hold back. The elder could not deny her, appalled that they did in fact all owe a blood debt to a human. Unable to refuse it she said she would do nothing, adding that most abominations did not make it to term anyway and the problem would solve itself.

Despite the odds Garasi carried her child to term, when her water broke and was ready to give birth the elder ordered the normal midwives to leave. Brining in only a couple she trusted, after many hours the delivery was complete. All but Garasi and the Elder gasped in shock when they saw the child. The oddities were noticed the moment the infant girl emerged from her mother, her skin was almost totally beige like a human, only a hint of red was there. A tiny bit of reddish brown hair was atop her head, far darker than a normal Baelor girl. Garasi requested to hold her child, after a moment one of the midwives finally did as she requested. Garasi could see the hate in the Elder's eyes, she glared at the child telling Garasi she could still reconsider and no one would find out. Defiantly she said she would die before she let anyone harm her daughter, as soon as her outburst was over Garasi suddenly grabbed her belly.

Blood gushed out of her birth canal from her uterus as she groaned. The midwives quickly inspected her and said they couldn't stop it. At the rate it was being lost they didn't think she would live for more than a few minutes. Garasi looked with pride at her daughter and then turned to the Elder. Locking eyes Garasi demanded she uphold the blood debt owed to her and the Knight, to keep and not kill her daughter. The elder growled a reluctant acceptance, swearing to uphold the oath. The Elder could see Garasi was slipping away and quickly asked what she wanted the abomination to be called. Garasi, again looked at her child and with her last breath spoke the name Torisi.

The Elder covered the child and took her from the dead mother. It was with luck that there was one Baelor currently lactating. By some miracle the pregnant mother had been able to escape the undead onslaught to birth successfully birth her child months after. The other had not been so lucky, along with two dozen others it was a huge blow to the tribe. While their mothers could carry the youngest ones easily those whose daughters were six to ten were two little to run fast enough and their mothers carried them too but were encumbered and fell to the rear. The elder wished she could trade this abomination for any of them regardless of any debt.

Reaching the young mother's hut the Elder entered. The mother was suckling her baby and while shocked at the sudden guest did not let herself disturb her daughter. Getting right to it the Elder announced Garasi had died giving birth, continuing as the mother's face was grim. The Elder said Garasi's child was alive but needed a surrogate mother to nurse her. The young woman readily accepted but was cut short by the Elder's forbidding expression. The mother gasped as the Elder uncovered baby Torisi, asking why the abomination was still alive. The Elder explained the situation, contemplating it the mother finally agreed, though she would only let the abomination's lips to soil her breasts until it could eat food, adding how it was a disgrace that her daughter would have to share milk with it.

True to her word the Elder kept Torisi in the tribe and did not kill her, but did little else. Torisi was fed
scraps, and was left to wander naked but for the old rags she could obtain. She was not trained, though she was smart and studied the others. Not only did she learn their moves but formed her own as well. She was smaller than the rest, though by fifteen she was a giant by human female standards growing just shy of two meters. Growing up she was outclassed by her peers, despite her effort their size and speed was too much of an advantage, however she would always stand defiant. Her strong blue irises another feature that showed the sin she represented.

Torisi was not allowed to participate in any of the Tribes events, especially anything competitive. However by the age of eighteen her hard work let her become a great fighter, dueling with the others she was undefeated by even those a couple years older. After each win she would be disciplined, it seemed like they took any chance they could to punish her. They would whip her back, then the skin of her exposed belly, each strike a reminder of a womb never to be filled. Constantly reminding her that it was pointless to get strong because an as abomination she would be infertile and never allowed to mother a child. This never stopped her and Torisi continued to improve, never hating those that hated her. Optimistic of a better future and ready for anything.
